Here is the first work out of around 5 that I am creating for the portfolio I'm sending to Gymboree kids clothing. I wanted to do something fairly simple that they could see reproduced on a shirt with felt, embroidery, and then a fabric embellishment (for the coat and umbrella). This pattern could then be used to make a skirt or little pants for the bottom half of the clothing....I may provide a bigger swatch of the pattern in the portfolio for that.
Anywho, sadly this was rushed because I was so eager to draw after finally getting my new Intuos 3 tablet its about damn time, I had my old tablet for like 6 years!! If anyone sees any color, drawing, or composition issue let me know....this is not 100% done, so I will make the changes ^^ Does the white mama duck bother anyone? She was yellow, but I thought she just looked like a big baby so I changed it at the last minute
also, does the girls face bug anyone? I wanted something really simple and had a hard time with the mouth since I have been drawing full lips on all my girls for so long >_< is she a tad too anime looking? I'm trying to avoid my work screaming that....but little hints of it are ok since Asian art influences my work so much.
God....I think I really do hate her face, something about it is not right >_____________< *bangs head on desk*
