I would totally buy this bag.
I'd have to see the finished product, but I'm rather fond of this design as well.

The design reminds me a bit of the reaching out and mirroring in the Revolutionary Girl Utena into and so at first I thought maybe the bag was, well, about girl-love. I think it was the reaching out with the word "Forbidden". I didn't really catch the bottom mirroring until a moment later.

As for the piece actually being of Eve, I'm not really sure how I feel about that. I mean, having the snake as a heart... I'm just not sure. I've always believed in respecting religions. Even watching "Cupid" on stuff like Santa Clause 2 ruffles me up a bit. Then again, as an artist, you have a freedom to do what you want.

The actual design is nice, just don't get too detailed, as it tends to get lost in metallic inks. Also, from my experience, metallic tends to peel faster, so if you get tiny details it starts to ruin even faster.

Overall, I like the subtlety and the fact that this is something that you could wear with a casual outfit. It's pretty and stylish, but it doesn't scream "Look at me!" I like that.

Are you going to accent the apple or letters by making them red or something? Although I've never boughten anything from you, this looks like it will be a great design + seller

(side note)
I had the hardest time figuring out what the bottom text said XD just looked like some strange new language to me... (but I'm guessing you are going to mess with the font more...)

I believe the bottom will say Fruit (or something, fruit may be too short of a word), for now I just flipped it though to remind me to add some text element at the bottom~

haha I mean no disrespect to religion by making the snake a heart, its just a design element. To eve the fruit was a good thing, she was lured in by the snake~ so I thought having this lovely shape with the snake would match with her and her temptation or something. Again though, its only meant to be a fun design, nothing deep really~ Same with my "Hail Rainbow" piece, I grew up catholic and really enjoy the imagery still I guess

Utena? do you mean the opening on the flower? haha I guess its hard to get past that with some people, since it is a pretty iconic scene

Thank you for the detail tip about the golds, I did not consider the small details being too lost, but with the shine you have a point!

I didn't think you meant any disrespect. I think I'm just a little touchy right now. We had a convo in class the other day about religion and so many people were so incorrect and biased about different religions, it shocked me.

Yeah, there's that scene then they grab hands and they slip apart. When I was younger Utena was one of the few anime available on VHS in the US so I watched it all the time.

No problem hun! Love the outline overall, so hopefully you'll be able to make it work.

haha aw, I know how some of those discussion classes can go~ people can be irritating. In college I took several semesters of classes that was reading with class discussion on some pretty wild and random books~ and often I found myself thinking "oh just shut up you moron" heh.

hehe glad you enjoy it so far! Ahh the words, dont worry too hard about those~ they are just shape place holders for me right now so I see where an element will be to help lay it out before I make the text! I am still not sure what sort of font I want to use, I may just handmake it and do the drippy look (like my rococo bag text, I drew that as well)

As of now the top will read "Forbidden" and the bottom will eventually read "Fruits" or "Garden" or "Delights" something that sounds nice, but also takes up a good amount of space
