The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

BASIC INFO

PRICE: $32 each now $20 for 3x4" card commission
SIZE: 3x4"
MEDIUM: commissions will be a single character on cardstock and colored with acrylic washes. Cost of card with extra character is $30 (so $10 extra

)
PAYMENT: Payment is required IN FULL and BEFORE I start working. Please arrange payments (upload to paypal, ask your mom, whatever) before you ask to be on the list.
TURNAROUND: sometimes a day, sometimes a week~ usually not much longer because I only take commissions when I can do a quick turn-around
DELIVERY: Once the art is finished you will receive the original piece in a acid free pack.
LIMITATIONS: If you want to post it someplace outside DA please ask me first, otherwise commissions are assumed to be to your personal enjoyment only

WHAT I WILL/WILL NOT DRAW

My commissions are not detail for detail pieces based on your exact pose and color specs~ please consider that when requesting. You give me the core details (example: please draw my OC, Please draw me in your style, please draw something blue themed) and I work with those

BAD EXAMPLE: Please draw my OC mary looking out over a cliff with her hands folded. She must also be wearing her outfit that I have designed and look very sad with the wind blowing her hair. To her left should be her favorite books, a poodle, and a chocolate cake.

GOOD EXAMPLE: Please draw my OC mary~ here are some sample links of what she looks like + clothing ref. She is very sad most of the time, and enjoys the color red.

these are inexpensive because general requests give me room to wiggle when working

EXAMPLES OF WHAT I WILL DRAW

- Original characters
- You, friends, boyfriend etc in my style
- Keyword pieces (you give me a few basic words and I go from there... ex. "Blue + fish" )
- Fanart of anime, comic, movie characters
- Anthro only if it looks more human
- tasteful nudity/ topless is cool too

EXAMPLES OF WHAT I WILL NOT DRAW

- Nudes of dramatically underage characters
- Pornography~ if its not allowed on DA I will not draw it. No peen and vagoo por favor.
- Furry art (I suck at drawing animals)
